Refund policy

At Realistic Careers, we are committed to delivering high-quality resume writing services, consultations, and resume templates to support your career journey. We understand that circumstances may change; however, please read the following policy carefully before making a purchase, as it outlines our refund conditions.

1. Refunds for Change of Mind

Due to the nature of our personalised services, including consultations, resume writing, and digital resume templates, **refunds will not be provided for change of mind** once a purchase has been completed. Once payment is received, we allocate resources and time to deliver your tailored service or product. Therefore, any request for cancellation or refund based on a change of mind cannot be accommodated.

2. Australian Consumer Law Compliance

In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if the service or product provided is found to be **faulty, not fit for purpose, or does not meet the expectations set forth at the time of purchase**. However, a change of mind does not fall under these grounds.

3. Eligibility for Refunds

You may be eligible for a refund if:

- The service provided is significantly different from what was described on our website.

In such cases, please contact us at **resumes@realisticcareers.com.au** within 7 days of receiving the final documents or digital products, and we will assess your request promptly.

4. Consultations and Digital Templates

**Consultations**: Once a consultation session has been scheduled and confirmed, **no refunds** will be issued. Rescheduling is permitted with at least 48 hours' notice.

**Templates and Guides**: Due to the **digital nature** of resume templates, all sales are final. Once a template has been downloaded, no refunds will be issued.

5. Refund Administration Fee

If a refund is granted under exceptional circumstances, a **20% administration fee** will be deducted from the total amount refunded. This fee covers the costs associated with processing the refund and administrative expenses.

6. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund due to a service fault, please email **resumes@realisticcareers.com.au** with the following information:

- Your full name and contact details.

- Receipt number

- A detailed description of the issue.

- Any supporting documentation (e.g., emails or drafts).

We will review your request within 5 business days and provide a response. If approved, refunds (less the 20% administration fee) will be processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.

7. No Refunds for Customised Work Once Started

Please note that once our team begins working on your resume or has commenced a consultation session, no refunds will be issued. This is due to the customised nature of our services, which involve significant time and effort from our consultants.
